Our friends over in Long Island at the Post Office Cafe in Babylon have a fabulous drink, “No House Rules”. It has some aged white rum, pineapple syrup, lime juice bitters and Minted along with grated nutmeg. This will definitely get the party started for the big weekend ahead.

Here is some information about this cocktail recipe:
No House Rules individual cocktail rum base with fresh mint and hint of anise offers a citrusy clean and light finish, a pre-kick-off starter for the Big Day.
“No House Rules”
Ingredients
2 oz of aged white rum
1 oz of pineapple syrup
½ oz of simple syrup
½ oz Luxardo Maraschino liquor
½ oz of lime juice
2 dashes of Peychaud’s bitters for ombre
Garnish: Mint and grated nutmeg, star anise
Preparation:
1. Add aged white rum pineapple juice, simple syrup, Luxardo Maraschino liquor and lime juice to shaker tin.
2. Add ice and shake for 10 seconds.
3. Double strain into stemless wind glass and add ice.
4. Add two dashes of Peychaud’s bitters for ombre
5. Garnish with mint sprig, star anise and grate nutmeg over the top.
